BIO

Born and Raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, I started my tech journey very young. I loved video games, and I always idolized the tech booth at any place I went. At age 10 my interest in technology only grew, and I received the perfect opportunity to begin skillset development. The opportunity came in the form of volunteer work with my family's church. From there I started learning the skills of live production including projections and sound. From that age, I have continued to build on my live performance skills, but I also transitioned into a different area as well.

While in middle school, I was introduced to the video production team at church, and I instantly began to enjoy camera work and editing. I began working on some church projects as well as personal projects, and I continued through high school taking the few video classes that were offered there.

I am a film school graduate from LSU, and now I am looking for engaging projects and clientele. I have experience in many different video genres from music videos and story-driven narratives to documentaries and interviews.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

Skills & Expertise

2022 - 2024

LSU Athletics Creative Content Internship

I was given the opportunity to work with LSU Athletics Creative Content. This department is where all of the video production happens. In here I have increased my knowledge of equipment and editing styles. Every week I have a meeting where we continue ongoing training to keep improving our projects.

2021 - 2023

Part-time Best Buy Employee

At Best Buy, I originally started out in the position of product flow associate. This is their term for inventory worker. In inventory, I learned the ins and outs of logistics at Best Buy. I learned the structure of the store and where everything is located, but I also became the backbone of the store. Inventory keeps the store running day in and day out. From there I transitioned to Geek Squad. I worked consulting clients, trying to break down the root cause of their issues. Then I worked as a repair agent, fixing and building computers.

2022 - Present

Christian Youth Theater Sound Technician

Starting in 2021, I have been contracted out by Christian Youth Theater of Baton Rouge as a sound technician to set up and run the sound technology for some of their musical productions. A couple of times a year they contact me, and for a week I have to set up the theatrical space, learn the entire show, and make internal cues in order to run the play. They have a one-week tech week and show week schedule which means that I have to do all of that work within the one week allotted. I have enjoyed the experience that this has given me in the theatrical world.

2018 - 2022

Encounter Church Video Internship

I worked with Encounter church producing all of their video content for a few years before I went to college. This included all of the online services during the COVID-19 lockdowns. I produced a couple of videos a week ranging from short announcement videos to full-length church services. Working here gave me my first real-world work experience in the video production career, and they will sometimes contract me out to help with a special project from time to time.

Through this time I took many AP and Dual enrollment courses that have given me a leg up in my credits at LSU. While in high school, I also took any available classes in programming, IT work, and video production. These specialized classes gave me the basic skills to end up where I am today.
